Nintendo’s new Mario Kart World Switch 2 bundle saves Canadians $51.98
September 24, 2026

At $749.99 CAD, the late-September bundle costs $70 more than the console alone and includes a $109.99 game plus three months of Nintendo Switch Online.

Nintendo announced the returning Canadian bundle on August 25, 2026. It is listed for late September, but the Nintendo Canada bundle page still says “Coming soon,” so buyers should treat the timing as a window rather than a firm on-sale date.
Canada’s new bundle price, in plain numbers
The Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle carries a suggested retail price of $749.99 CAD. Nintendo says the package contains the console, a full digital download of Mario Kart World, and a three-month Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership. Those details come directly from the Nintendo Canada announcement.
That makes the bundle $70 more than the standalone Switch 2, whose Canadian MSRP increased to $679.99 on September 1. The hardware price is confirmed on Nintendo’s Canadian price-revision notice, so the real question is whether the included game and membership are worth that $70 difference to you.
How Nintendo reaches the $51.98 saving
At current listed prices, the three components total $801.97 CAD when bought separately: $679.99 for the system, $109.99 for Mario Kart World, and $11.99 for a three-month Individual Membership. Subtract the $749.99 bundle price and the difference is exactly $51.98, matching Nintendo Canada’s stated saving.
The calculation uses the game’s $109.99 regular price shown on Nintendo Canada’s Mario Kart World event page and the $11.99 Canadian three-month membership price documented by Nintendo Life. Retailers can set their own prices, so the comparison is MSRP-to-MSRP rather than a promise that every store will save you the same amount.
What buyers receive — and what they do not
Mario Kart World is supplied as a full download, not a physical game card. That distinction matters if you prefer lending or reselling games, or if you want a box on the shelf. The bundle is strongest for households already comfortable with digital ownership and ready to make this racer their first major Switch 2 game.
The package also includes 90 days of the base Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership. Nintendo notes that memberships auto-renew after the included term unless cancelled, and online features require a Nintendo Account and internet connection. The membership is useful for online racing, but it should not be mistaken for a permanent part of the bundle.
Who should consider it — and who should wait
For a first-time Switch 2 buyer who already wants Mario Kart World, the numbers are straightforward: paying $70 above the console price adds items worth $121.98 at listed prices. The game has also received meaningful post-launch support; Nintendo’s version 1.8.0 update notes describe ten additional classic-inspired courses, two Knockout Tour routes, Spectator Mode, and Photo Mode filters.
If you prefer physical games, already own Mario Kart World, or do not need the online membership, buying the console alone may be the cleaner choice. Availability is the remaining uncertainty: Nintendo says late September while its Canadian store page still says “Coming soon.” Source review included Nintendo Canada, Nintendo of America, Nintendo investor materials, Nintendo Life, VGC, and GameSpot, with Canadian prices taken from Canadian first-party pages wherever available.
