KINGDOM HEARTS Collection lands on Switch 2 this week with a 50% cloud-owner discount

KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I–III] arrives as a native Nintendo Switch 2 release on October 8. Nintendo Canada’s product page positions it as a single bundle of three collections, while Square Enix’s official page confirms the same launch date across the new platform version. The Canadian store listing is the best place to confirm the final local price and eligibility terms before purchase.

A native release replaces the cloud compromise

The Switch 2 package is designed to run natively rather than stream the collection from the cloud. That removes the connection dependency that shaped the earlier Nintendo version and gives owners a local install they can launch without waiting for a cloud session to stabilize.

Nintendo Life’s launch coverage says the complete collection will require more than 130GB when everything is installed, although Nintendo’s own preorder page warns that final download-size information may still change. Buyers should therefore plan for a sizeable microSD Express installation and check the final listing after launch.

Cloud owners get the clearest deal

Players who own all of the earlier cloud titles individually, or the previous all-in-one cloud package, are eligible for a 50% discount on the Switch 2 native versions and the collection. Nintendo lists that benefit directly on the Canadian product page, making it the key price consideration for returning players.

The discount is tied to qualifying ownership rather than a general launch sale. If your account only contains part of the earlier cloud lineup, check Nintendo’s eligibility wording before assuming the half-price offer will apply to the complete bundle.

Canadian price and purchase timing

Juiso’s Canadian price check currently shows $99.99 CAD for the digital collection. That is the new-buyer listing before any account-based discount, so eligible cloud owners should compare the checkout price rather than relying on the public sticker price alone.

The October 8 release date also gives Switch 2 owners a short window to clear storage, update their console and decide whether to install the full bundle at once. The publisher has not promised a smaller optional download in the Canadian listing, so the safest plan is to leave room for the complete package.

What to do before launch day

First, confirm that your Nintendo Account is the one that owns the earlier cloud purchases if you are expecting the discount. Second, check available storage and update the console before launch day so the download is not competing with a system update or a full internal drive.

Finally, treat the 130GB figure as a planning estimate from current coverage, not a final immutable specification. Nintendo says the rating and download-size information may not be finalized at preorder, so the confirmed post-launch listing should win if the numbers change.

Check out the price tracker

The Juiso tracker follows KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I–III] for Nintendo Switch 2, including the current $99.99 CAD listing and future changes. This is the only game discussed in the article, so the tracker contains exactly catalog record 859.

Sources and attribution

The release date, bundle contents, discount eligibility and Canadian price were checked against Nintendo Canada and Square Enix. Storage reporting and review context were cross-checked with Nintendo Life, VGC, Eurogamer, IGN, GameSpot, Famitsu, Gematsu, Polygon, GamesRadar and current Switch 2 coverage. The download-size caveat is preserved because Nintendo says final preorder information may change.
