Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection arrives on Switch 2

Diablo IV reaches Switch 2 with the base game, two expansions, eight hero classes, and a 30th-anniversary season. Nintendo Canada source provides the first-party details behind this guide.

What the Switch 2 collection includes

Nintendo says the Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection includes the base game and the Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred expansions. That makes the package a broad entry point rather than a small starter edition.

The collection is set in Sanctuary, a dark world shaped by demons, campaigns, gear, and character builds. New players can begin with the full package while returning players have a larger Switch 2 version to consider.

Eight classes define the first decision

The announcement lists Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Paladin, Rogue, Sorcerer, Spiritborn, and Warlock. Each class points toward a different way to build and play through the campaign.

That range matters because Diablo’s long-term appeal is tied to experimenting with builds and gear. The Switch 2 version is positioned for both newcomers and veterans entering the anniversary season.

The anniversary context

Diablo IV’s Switch 2 debut arrives during Season of Hell’s Legacy, which Nintendo describes as an anniversary tribute to the series. The timing connects the launch to Diablo’s 30th anniversary.

Nintendo’s copy also emphasizes War Plans and gear customization, suggesting that the collection is designed to carry players beyond the opening campaign into longer-term progression.

What to check before buying

The practical question is whether you want the complete collection or only a first taste of Diablo’s systems. The Switch 2 release gives new players a single package to evaluate.
